Two precise incisions create a contemporary domestic living condition in a 1930’s townhouse.
A curatorial approach enabled to reduce the architectural intervention to two strategic cutouts, that clearly manifest as contemporary interventions: on the ground floor the rear façade was cut away and replaced by large sliding windows, opening kitchen and dining room to the garden and the new terrace.
On the attic floor, the roof was cut out generating space for the main bathroom.
A minimal structure holds the windows that span the entire width of the room and allow panoramic views from the bathtub.
