BRKNG+NTRNG
Unsatisfied by the frontal and bulky stairs and its decaying condition, the clients asked for a new entrance situation to their 1980’s suburban single-family house.
The project consists in designing stairs as a sequence of spaces and uses rather then just a transition between levels.
In order to enhance and promote the use of these new spaces, the project displays the solid characteristics usually found in public areas. It appears as a carved monolith built in a custom designed acid treated concrete.
